Hop on Board the Northern Pacific Railroad, take a ride on an ox cart or cruise down the Missouri River for a whirlwind tour of North Dakota's transportation history. Produced by Prairie Public Television and the North Dakota Department of Transportation, Rivers, Roads, Rails and Air shows how North Dakota's transportation has changed throughout history and how North Dakota's history has been tied to those changes. Rivers, Roads, Rails and Air uses archival photos and film and interviews with historians, longtime North Dakota residents and transportation experts to detail transportation in North Dakota, from its early beginnings to the present. This Prairie Public Classic documentary was first aired in 1996.

This an eastbound RCPE grain train led by CSX 5254. I like this train because of the CITIX unit in the middle and the CPRail unit following that. My uncle's camera was in the ditch next to the train. It was around the bottom left corner of this screen. But it was a little farther back than what I recorded. Leave a like if you liked this video a lot!
Final video of the RCPE from vacation this Summer. This train goes right through downtown Rapid City next to the street so its a cool spot to check it out. Second spot is off the highway near Piedmont, which is just north of Rapid City. Good place to get some of mountains in the shot. Last shot is just off the interstate in Sturgis, my final view of the RCPE this year......until next year :)

BNSF 7625 & 8159 and their mixed freight train are west bound and I video taped them at three locations starting at west of Eldridge, ND. The video shows the locations. There was a large amount of Loram equipment sitting in Cleveland, ND so i can only assume restrictions on speed and that is why the first two videos the train is running slow. This could be a Dilworth, MN to Glendive, MT local, not sure.
